The Devil is at it again...

I envied people like Mike Trang ever since I got my iPhone last August. Unlike myself, Mike could use his iPhone 4 as a GPS and let his snot nosed kids play with YouTube and all that fun 3G stuff. He could do this not only because he had sufficient service (ahem) but also because he had the data plan as well...or so he thought. Lucifer--I mean the boys at AT&T saw this and decided to smite the mortal fool by virtually wheel clamping his phone! It was hard times for Mike, pages refused to load, maps wouldn't render, and his once dear friend YouTube refused to load up. Welcome to my world, Mike. So basically AT&T is limiting its "unlimited" customers because AT&T can't handle the American people, the people with no limits. God Bless America and Verizon Wireless and Damn AT&T to Hell.

The rise of Detroit.

Since the economic collapse of 2008 and throughout it's history, Detroit, Michigan has seen hard times. The past couple of years however, have been the worse so far. Thats all in the past now and while Detroit isn't exactly #1 again, it's making it's rise. Last year GM sold the most cars in the world and released a promotional ad featuring Clint Eastwood during the Super Bowl. Eastwood talked about the hard times, and how the U.S. is in half time right now, trying to think of a way to make a comeback. The Man with No Name also told audiences that this country won't go down with one punch, that we'll get right back up.. and when we do the world is going to hear our engines roar. Now, I know I can't be the only one who got choked up after watching that. Americans are ready to work hard, and soon enough this country will live up to its name and potential. It may not be in this life time, but we need to take that risk and make that sacrifice to ensure safety on our descendants.

An Ethical iPod?

A lot of people wouldn't know what their lives would be like without Apple. The company obliterated CD Walkmans with the iPod and iTunes, and revolutionized the cell phone with the iPhone. Products like the iPad and Mac book have also been game changers. What many people don't know is that these little doodads that make our days easier and efficient are made in sweat shops by Chinese workers who are under paid and in constant danger. Many workers breath in chemicals to clean the screens off the products, while others have attempted or have committed suicide for reasons that vary. The petition for Apple to clean up its act was drawn out by the group SumOfUs. The group has about 160,000 members worldwide and has gained about 50,000 signatures. I signed the petition, which of course automatically makes me a better person than many, will join this club? The top link will provide the petition.
