Titanic sinking turns 100
It was 100 years ago today that the famed "unsinkable" R.M.S. Titanic sank to it's watery grave in the northern region of the Atlantic Ocean. To honor the event, James Cameron's 1997 apocalyptic phenomenon cinema classic "Titanic" has hit theaters yet again and is sinking in it's own profits by releasing it... in 3D. Now, I don't know about you, but I wanna see that sucker sink in 3D. On an emotional note, it is also a day to recognize the lives that were lost on that cold night in the Atlantic Ocean. The stories from the Titanic are as massive as the ship itself. Many of them tell of the sacrifices made and the character of modern man. From noble men and women like Macy owners like Isador and Ida Straus (the old couple who die together in the '97 film and in real life) to greedy cowards like James Bruce Ismay who designed to ship... and didn't go down with it. Instead, he snuck onto a lifeboat. Ismay also was the one who reportedly demanded the crew to speed up causing the ship to not have enough time to avoid the fatal iceberg blow. Many foundations, museums, and other things will be honoring the disaster while us simple folk will marvel at James Camerons 3D hard on --- i mean "Titanic"
